Ayurveda, the science of life, is the art of healing practiced in India for thousands of years. Focusing on simple practices to maintain balance and harmony, its principles underlie many alternative medical practices now familiar in the West. Kerala, the home state of Norfolk Sister City, Kochi, India, has the highest concentration of ayurveda practitioners in India and is world famous for its treatments and therapies.
