 Letter from Governor Bob McDonnell

The Better Business Bureau is warning donors to be cautious and ensure that they give to reputable charities by checking them at www.give.org or www.guidestar.org, for example.

The Philippine Cultural Center and Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater have set up an account for donations at TowneBank, Cultural Center spokesman Roy Estaris said. People may donate by bringing a check made out to CUFOT to any of the bank’s branches, preferably the Kempsville branch at 5200 Providence Road in Virginia Beach.
