Norfolk Sister Cities is proud to offer two scholarships in honor of two influential members.

The Regula Meier Student Scholarship Award

This scholarship was established in 2006 in recognition of Mrs. Meier’s many contributions to the community and the Norfolk Sister City Assocation organization over the past 30 years.

The Dr. Hiroyuki Hamada  Student Scholarship Award

This scholarship was established in 2009, in recognition of Dr. Hiroyuki Hamada’s many contributions to the organization and particularly his devotion to Norfolk’s sister city, Kitakyushu, Japan.

The NSCA Scholarship Committee will decide which of the scholarships will be awarded.

These scholarships are awarded to students participating in exchange programs sponsored by Norfolk Sister Cities and have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, show promise of continued excellence, and have financial need.

This year the Sister Cities International Conference will take place in Virginia Beach, VA July 12-16. The Youth Leadership Summit will be held on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College.  2017 YLS flyer   We are pleased to announce Norfolk Sister City Association will offer four scholarships. Interested Norfolk Public School students in grades 9-12 should submit the application losted below with required documents by April 30, 2017.
